It them and its you...FIRST OFF- Don't let what other people say or do bother you. You have to have the confidence in yourself to let words roll off your back. Everyone has their own opinion on what beauty is - just because you don't fit into someone Else's definition doesn't mean you are not attractive.

You cant compare yourself to others. What makes one person 'beautiful' necessarily what you need to make you beautiful. You have to find that unique quality in yourself and show the world that's what makes you special.

keep your head up!

Honey, this has been going on for ages and the commercial media doesn't help things, do they? They do the same thing with all races....find the one that they think people will find most attractive and SELL their product. Don't fall for that crap!

When I was young (in the 60's), I had red curly hair and freckles and was taller than everyone else. I hated it!! I use to try to cover it up and straighten my hair...now I realize, Damn, I'm lucky! Those freckles cover up alot of wrinkles in my face and that curly hair will look great in the humidity! Standing tall makes you look slimmer! I had it made and didn't even know it!

Advise you to go with what God gave you and be proud of it. Why would you even want to date a man who preferred someone else? He's not good enough for you. Forget it and concentrate on things you CAN control...like loving yourself. God Bless you.

It's just a feeling that you have about a (Word) that's all it is.

Example: If a policemen took offense to everyone who said something bad to him, don't you think it would kill his self image eventually. Police officers get called every name their is, they way they deal with it is the key.

So, don't allow it to effect you is the key. Just think of it as a positive thing, like this, Hey yellabone babe, "Yep, that's me, tasty and sweet". Get the point.

No big deal, it's all in how you see the word it self, positve thoughts only.

It's probably more of a social thing. The look of beautiful women from all the magazines, tv and movie are white women. Black males might be trying to find someone in his culture that fits this stereotype. Until society and media start focusing more on darker skin women, i.e. Gabrielle Union, women like Halle Berry are going to be seens as more pleasurable to men. It's not you though. I am sure your gorgeous and just think you are and you will be.

TO MY UNDERSTANDING IS THAT THE LIGHT SKINNED BLACK FEMALES ARE THE CLOSEST THING TO GOING WHITE. HAVE YOU ASKED THE GUYS THE QUESTION? GET OVER IT. THE HIGH YELLOW FEMALES HAS BEEN THE THING SINCE I WAS IN HIGH SCHOOL. IT'S THE SAME FOR SOME FEMALES THEY PREFER HIGH YELLOW MALES SO THEIR KIDS COULD HAVE GOOD HAIR AND PRETTY SKIN. MAYBE THAT'S THE SAME REASON WHY GUYS ARE DOING IT.

It is just the preference of the guy. Some guys are just rude.
