You are definitely on to something. I think we will and are already starting to see a repeat. They are entitled to their opinion and the exercise of their rights, but it seems to me many don't think anything through before they run to their garage to make their signs! And any person whether for or against that disrespects the men and women in uniform out to be ashamed, those men and women are the real heroes of our time. These protesters like the Vietnam era ancestors have nothing better to do and honestly believe their fight is a righteous one. Like back then, they will once again be proved wrong. Keep fighting the good fight!

It's real simple really. The 60s protesters who disapprove of this war really don't understand it at all. For this war on terror is a completely different war. It's not a Vietnam as some would like believe. For one thing thier liberal cause has lost steam. Look at DNC leader Howard Dean who protested against the war by trying to have troops removed from the Iraqi front. He lost and Cindy Sheehan crys against Bush have gone unanswered.
Unlike Vietnam this war doesn't have state against but more a less a fanatical indidivual who are hell bent on destroying West to take it over. Also this war isn't unpopular one either unlike Vietnam.

Wrong side of history? While most people believe that those who were cruel to the returning Vietnam veterans was wrong, they also believe that going there in the first place was a mistake (how can you not, seeing the end results?). A lot of the soldiers thought the same thing.
And keep in mind, by the end of the war the MAJORITY of the American public were opposed to it. Just like now, with Bush's approval rating slowly sinking as more people realize how horrible he is.

Good point. However, compared to the "hippies", most of the "look at me" protesters today don't really call our troops the awful names that our great Vietnam Vets were called. With the exception of that loony church group that was protesting funerals. But as soon as the outcome is good, all those "look at me" protesters will change face and say..see I told ya all along we doing the right thing.

Vietnam was a disaster. It may have been won or not, I have american history, so i have no clue, but the actual war should not have involved the americans. that was a mistake, and i'm willing to meet w/ whoever thinks that
here we destroyed a country b/c we want oil
we killed thousands of ppl
and we were killed
b/c bush had an anti-agenda against the country
i'im willing to meet even when i'm 70 to badtalk bush

Yes history will repeat. The anti-war protestors of today, 1. seem to think the world would be a better place with Saddam Huessin still in power, 2. They do not understand religion so they do not understand that we are fighting a religous enemy in radical Islam.

The 60's protestors were NOT wrong. They are not on the wrong side of history; they are only on the wrong side of corporate America.
