- Plant drugs on people
- Convince you that you have to get out of the car or allow a search on a routine traffic stop. (You don't have to. However, if you refuse, they'll make you wish you had complied.)
- Use unmarked cars for routine traffic stops. This is against the law. I have seen the code, and it prohibits this.
- Arrest someone for a buddy. This happened in a small town: I know someone who was involved in road rage and police corruption all in one day. He accidentally pulled in front of someone. There was NO COLLISION. They chased him and ran him off the road. They yelled at him and said, "You probably don't even have insurance!" He DOES have insurance, but he was feeling feisty so he said, "Maybe I don't." The road rage guy then went to his small town buddies at the police station and lied, saying that my friend had done a "hit and run" on him and had no insurance. This was a lie, and ovbiously NEITHER vehicle was damaged! His small town police buddies ARRESTED my friend for a so called hit and run which never occurred!!!
- I know someone who got a ticket for trying not to run into a police car. The cop was on the shoulder with his lights still on from having just finished making a traffic stop. The dude drove partially on the opposite side of the two way, two lane road, so as to give the cop room. The cop chased him and wrote him a ticket for driving on the wrong side of the road!
- Drive on the wrong side of the road or violate other laws for reasons which are NOT emergencies. I saw a cop drive on the wrong side of the road just to talk to his buddy for a long, casual conversation.
- Ride motorcycles side-by-side. The are supposed to ride straddled with the 2nd guy in behind and to the side so as not to run into one another. Many policemen run into each other this way and have been reprimanded for this by their superiors but continue to do as they please.
-An old trick: When arresting someone on a traffic stop, they search them and take their wallet which they promptly toss into their car as it is about to be towed away. This means that the person doesn't have access to their ID or money while trying to post bail, check into jail, or retrieve their car from the pound!
- They seduce someone into commiting a crime: There is someone drunk standing on private property. The police officer says, "Come here for a second..." and motion to them. The drunk person complies, walking OFF of the private property onto the sidewalk. They are now violating the public drunkeness law. They are promptly arrested, after being duped.
- They detain a teenager for no apparent reason and make them stand next to their car for an hour or so, until it is curfew. Then they arrest them for violating curfew. Nice, huh?
I am sure there are some really good cops out there, but unfortunately, MOST of them are at least moderately corrupt, if not totally. They know how to exploit the loopholes in the law, and don't always do so for the right reasons.

I got pulled over because as I was going around a police car that was blocking traffic( officer was sitting in the car at the time, and should have moved car out of the way) I shook my head in disbelief. The officer turned on the lights and pulled me over to ask if I shook my head at her. I didnt know that was against the law. silly me
I have since reported this officer to the police cheif for violating my civil rights. Still waiting on reply.

Some of them have a free ticket to shoot, with intent to kill, do drugs, and sell drugs they confiscate. They can set you up, by planting things illegal in your car, or home. They can ruin your life. I had a cop try to date me in the past. He tried to get me to set up my X husband. Saying, to put drugs in his car and say he was dealing them.. i didn't. My husband broke my sternum bone. When I went to the emergency room, they sent a cop. If someone comes to the er with trauma they always send a cop. He fell for me, and tried to go with me. I know first hand. He would call me and come by unexpectedly.. He kept telling me i could get rid of my husband, and he would make sure it happened.. I moved away from him, and his jurisdiction. And divorced my husband. I don't trust some cop's

They will approach your car with their hand ready to grab their gun for a perfectly "routine" traffic stop. I don't trust any cops, especially the ones in my town.

Suspect that everyone who is not a cop is automatically a criminal. Eat too many donuts.
