get a transistor (NPN). Bias it in the way I tell you.

Vcc = 6V
R1 (the resistor connecting Vcc and B) = variable 10k
R2 = the resistor connecting B and ground (or -) = a LDR (Light sensitive device.)
Between Vcc and C = your alarm
Between E and ground(or -) = a resistor about 100 ohm
Get it right. vary the Variable resistor until you get the alarm sounding at the shadow level you need to.
