If we can make anything, do anything, and be anything, than why are we sitting around?

Question

With videogames and TV and all that stuff, why just sit around? What makes people so inclined so sit and stare at a screen for ever? Sure, I do it myself, but why? It's one thing I ponder over but never find an awnser.

We can reach the world with our computers !
so don't wonder about us , the square eyed ones )

I have my dogs here at my feet, the sun is shining into my window , the birds are singing and lol i am writing to you
. Life is not passing me by , i have it at my finger-tips ;

If i was not here, i would probably be doing some chores, that have been sitting, there awaiting my attention for far sooo long

I am like a hamster on a wheel here , take away my computer and i am lost,

to be interested in people and facts hidden inside our comp. opens up a whole new aspect on life

, I do not mean you need have no other interests

just enjoy the blessings you do get from that little old
square box thing -----

We ARE getting rather lazy, aren't we?

But as "sgoldperson" pointed out, you can do a lot of cool things in games which you can't in real life. Maybe that's the subconscious reason we prefer video games.

Curse that television! Slows everyone down.

You are looking for what's outside your door. Turn the machine off, get up from the chair and go out and experience real people.

I can conquer the world in a game. Ok one example of many but an extreme one to make my point. We can live out fantasies in our games, things we CAN'T do in real life, or we SHOULDN'T do.
