Studying is hard for even those of us that like to study. If its a class you are bored with, then try this. Make yourself study, with the promise of a "personal reward" Make sure the tv and stereo is off so you can concentrate. Set your self a time limit, cramming just doesnt work. Set a two hour deadline, and if you are still not comfortable with the results, set it aside for a bit, and go back to it. Once you have taken the test, and passed, as we all know you will, reward yourself with something you dont do often but enjoy.

If you're taking a really boring subject that you're being examined on, you may want to rethink your class choices.

The exam will check to see what you know about the subject. You can not study, and fail the exam, and get transferred to an easier class, or you can study, ace the exam, and have other choices available to you later.

Either way, it's like you made lunch selections and now don't want the food. Not a problem, except you can either starve, spend more money on a different lunch, or eat what you have.

dear student
many subjects at times r boring but u have 2 study there is no escaping.i suggest u ask one of your friends to study wid u which may make it better but when u 2 r together decide how much u will study b4 takin a break.it is important that u take breaks but make sure u do not take a break 4 a longer time.
make a time table and study the borin subject according to that and if u r bored u can study your fav subject 4 a while.reward yourself if u finish a part of your syllabus succesfully wid a movie or jus window shopping etc.
alll the best i hope you pass wid flying colours

Ask your teacher/prof what the test will be like and what would be BEST to study. Teachers generally like it when students show they want to know how to study for a test. I've gotten tons of answers and tips on tests by just staying after class for 2 minutes and asking what to study. Then you can study ONLY the stuff you know is on there and you won't be as bored. Good luck on your test!

You can use index cards. Study for a certain amount of time then stop and pick it up later. You have to figure out how you learn and then study in that way. I am a visual and audio learner so I say what I want to remember as well as read it. I also use highlighters to color code my answers and questions.

Well the first thing you can do is make a game out of it. Like read what u have to read and then make some questions for it and every time you answer a question right reward yourself, like with a peice of candy or a dollar whatever u like. Then you get someone else to ask you the same questions and hopefully u will get it right. But make sure the questions r on wat u read and what u think will be on the exam.emailme any time for advise on tests, friends, etc.

I used to make flash cards for myself. (file cards with question on one side, answer on the other)

The activity of making them is a great way to study, and then you can carry them with you and do just a little at a time while you do something more interesting in between!

write an outline. It really helps to make you focus on the details of the boring stuff. Then you can look over it to review.
