I believe that people have worshipped gods and goddesses before, and I believe that the Virgin Mary is put up as a "replacement" to the goddess figure for those people back in the early part of AD (as compared to BC) that worshipped a goddess figure.

Well, it depends all on how you mean this question. Do I believe in one God...Christian, Muslim or what ever....no. Do I believe in pagan gods and goddesses?....yes.

The pre-Christianity world and religions made sense. They followed the cycles of nature and worshipped the solstices, eclipses, seasons. It was a belief in nature. It was also very balanced, male and female alike. Their thinking is more concrete to me than some book that a bunch of people wrote with rules on how to live your life. Ancient paganism is more about the inner person, there aren't rules to follow. This is a religion that can be almost whatever you want.

Those are just my opinions though. I'm in no way trying to offend other religions. I really believe "to each his own". Everyone should just allow other beliefs and religions to happen around them and not get angry if it's not the same as theirs.

I'm not sure the question you're asking but if you're asking if people believ in God/Goddess i believe in a "higher power" and sex doesn't enter into it.
