way too cheap

It is too expensive. The price of gasoline is disrupting my way of life. I am not able to eat out as much as I did. My expendable cash is now smaller and the cost of everything I buy has gone up. I am making my money to give it to the oil companies. It seems like the oil companies and utilities getting their pound of flesh from myself and all of the millions of hard working Americans. There needs to be a change soon! Americans are incrimentally being taken for a ride. I want steak for supper not hamburger!!!

Surprisingly enough, refined gasoline (which is more expensive than crude oil) is the least expensive commonly-purchased liquid per gallon. Milk, OJ, even bottled water in some cases are all more than ~$3.30/gallon. In Europe, gas is rougly $5/Liter, which is more than $10/gal. Oil is not nearly expensive enough. And this isn't even the oil futures certificate in my pocket talkin' =P. If the Federal Government did what it did to cigarettes (tax the HELL out of them) and gave more tax benefits to those who use alternative fuel sources, the only hummers left would be in casting offices.

Too cheap... and I drive a lot in my profession. I want $10 a gallon gas, to jumpstart our alternative fuel development.

Depends on where you live and what it does for you. Personally I think its WAAAAYYY tooo expensive.
