My car is out in the hot sun for nearly 4 hours ---all the windows are rolled up and to my surprize when I get into the car it's cool! The car wasn't left running and there were no doors left open --- so why is my car cool??? This had the mechanics baffled but one figured it out --- (yes, this really is a true event!)
Any one else know the answer???

The car isn't a convertible.
There's no tint.
And no one had been driving my car.

No hurricane went by it either.

It wasn't parked under a shade tree or near a sprinkler system.

The sun heats the air conditioning system ---actually heating it enough to pressurize it; then the air conditioning coolant expands through the expansion valve, and the expanded gas is pressurized enough to circulates by itself, under pressure, sucking heat out of the car.
When the expanded gas condenses into liquid and leaks back into the compressor tank, only to be re-heated by the sun, and the cycle repeats itself.
