Neil Young, Bruce Springsteen, and Bob Dylan all do acoustic from time to time. I also really dig John Prine. If you're a Johnny Cash fan the box set Unearthed has some amazing acoustic tracks.

My fave here is Christopher Parkening....acoustical guitar...."The Chaconne" by Bach. Incredible. he was a childhood prodigy and plays this piece BETTER than Segovia, whom I felt to be rather a slob in his mixture of undeeicate fret moves while executing the piece ~ Parkening's Mother was a music teacher and was awestruck to find that Christopher while at 4 was playing music.....he was more likened in criticism "As a machine" in the 60's, however, having seen him in concert, and mainly on the ANGEL Label....perhaps my answer is NOT what you're looking for, but he to me is the finest. Thank You!
