I can't remember the calculation, but I need to start my chemistry set and get it up and running. Fast! Thanks in advance.

There are 231 cubic inches in a gallon and there are 1,728 cubic inches in a cubic foot of water.

Cubic Feet, Deep End:
16 x 32 x 6.5 x (2/3) = 2,218.666... cubic feet

Gallons, Deep End:
(2,218.666 x 1,728) / 231 = 16,597 gallons

Cubic Feet, Shallow End:
16 x 32 x 3.5 x (1/3) = 597.333... cubic feet

Gallons, Shallow End:
(597.333 x 1,728) / 231 = 4,468 gallons

Total Gallons of Pool:
16,597 + 4,468 = 21,065 gallons

Remember: This is an approximation, your pool will slope from the shallow to deep end causing the figure to be more or less depending on how it slopes. Oops.. didn't see that it was oval...that will make the number of gallons less.

Ok, lets take it this way...

For the first 1/3 of the pool, you have...

3.5 X 3.14 X 16 X 16 X 7.48 = 21044.53 gallons/cu ft

Where 3.5 = height of water
3.14 = pie
16 X16 = Radius squared
7.48 = cubic feet of water

Now, add that to the other part of the 2/3

6.5 X 3.14 X 16 X 16 X7.48 = 39082.7 gallons/cu ft

Now, combine 21044.53 gallons/cu ft + 39082.7 gallons/cu ft = 60127.23 gallons/cubic feet

So, you have all together, 60127.23 gallons of water in your pool.

I wish you well..

I believe you take in inches...width x length x height and divide by 231.
