Rooney in the knock out stages:
An official club statement from Manchester United has stressed that Rooney will play no part in the group stages of the tournament, but should be fit for the knock-out stages, making a heavy assumption that England will qualify for the latter rounds of the World Cup with only three fit strikers amongst their ranks.

Ya Ronney will play in the knock out stage but that will be their last game in semi finals to beat the winner of Brazil vs France or may be whatever thay may get loose with Portugal too i hope -------and i better know about that semi finals that will be their last jorney.

yes, Rooney even played at the group stage. so long as he dont get injured, he 'll play all the remaining matches. He is being depended on so much even now that Owen has been completely ruled out of the whole 2006 world cup.
He's a good player and no coach can leave him out of his squad so long as he is fit.
