That's a good question, wish I had an answer. I think the world would be a better place if we were more neighborly. I believe the Economy has most people greedy, there are those of us that live paycheck to paycheck, and others that can buy whatever they want. Jobs are being taken from us and sent overseas, I believe as long as people still have jobs, that they want to get as much as they can, along with pay off bills while they still have a job.

I think its because we are protective over who we are and what we own. We dont want to just walk up to some stranger and tell them everyhting about us. They might try to kill us, or rob us...or harm us in any other way. It is hard to judge a person just by looking at them. Someone of the more evil people look just like normal people do. So I think we arent very neighborly becuase we are just protective over everything we stand for. And we have the right to be. As of for the greedy part, we became greedy after taking advantage of those who werent so protective...and when we found out that was easy....we did it more and more to and more and more people. Its a sad sad circle that should be broke. But HOW?

Why are we not more neighborly?
Television
Air conditioning
Self-centered

Why are greedy?
Lack of God in our lives
Self-centered
Me-centered attitude instead of an attitude of serving God first others second and ourselves third.

We've taken God out of schools, the workplace, television and our very lives. We are not seeing the consequences of this. If all we are is a lump of cells that has evolved on it's own into this present state, then we owe nothing to anyone and answer to no man.

Peaople are too busy making a living these days to be more neighborly. With both people working, there's no time. Women who used to stay at home had time to do their daily chores during the day. Now they have to do mundane things like laundry and cleaning in the evening after work. The answer to your question lies in the fact that both people have to work these days to make ends meet.

Because, in general, humans have evolved through 100,000 years of never having enough and usually being hungry. We still have a lot of those traits even though, in most cases, they are no longer needed. As a good analogy watch a big dog eat a bowl of dogfood. They will usually gobble it as fast as possible and seem generally aggressive about it as well. This comes from evolution in a pack where you had to be that way to get your share. We, like the dog, have similar instincts. Fortunatly, we are also sentient and can choose to resist these things and perhaps as we evolve further we will learn to do so on a more regular basis.

I believe this is the last days on earth. The Bible says we will be greedy and not neighborly in the last days.

That is because of human sin nature. We all need God.

In the Beginning God created heavens and earth.
God gives you air to breathe and sunshine to enjoy.
God gives you water to drink and food to eat.
God gives you a wonderful body and sound mind, to live.
God loves you, and you are precious to Him.
Son of God died on the Cross to save us from condemnation.
Jesus’ love is boundless and everlasting.
We have the hope of Heaven through Jesus.
Life therefore has fantastic and glorious future!

We've become more suspicious of others and fear that they may be a threat. With everything going on in the world, we have been 'tuned - in' to acting more like hermits. Thank the media for a lot of this - people believe almost everything they hear !!!

Reaganomics! The rich are getting richer and the middle class are becoming obsolete and poor are getting poorer.

It will only get worse from here, the more people get hungry, the more they get desperate, and this creates crime and then Genisi.

Just like in the depression.

Because, in today's world, people tend to think less of others and more about themselves. They think that they are the only ones with problems and they want to get "theirs" instead of helping others.
