I put "famous" because if he hadn't done his silly apprentice programme I wouldn't know who he was.

Cos like you say, "who the fork is the guy?"

I mean, I knew the name, I recognised the wig, but, you are right:= what the heck did he ever actually *do*? Where did he get all his wonga?

Maybe it's just because of his silly name. When he was starting out, all the TV shows wanted him on, "hey Jo, let's get that Guff fella on" "who?" "you know, whassisname, fartpants?" Like they say, no publicity is bad publicity, especially if you have no shame, or taste.

Never, you can't be famous just because you have lots of money. He has intelligence, talent, wisdom and he has created a multibillion dollar industry known as the Trump Tower with his creativity. He has proven that he can also act by starring in The Apprentice. He's a pretty successful person.

No he is famous because of the reason he has all that money. He is a businessman and a darn good one at that, he has worked hard all his life to make that money and I thought everyone knew who the Trump was, even before the apprentice.

Sorry, but he was well-known in the areas where it counts long before the "apprentice" scheme. Some people like to spend money getting their name and face out there, not being content with mere money. The Donald has never been shy about his need for public adulation, or at least recognition.

He is famous because of his dedication to achieving his goals. He's rich because he's good at it. I knew about Donald Trump long before the apprentice program.

Donald Trump is only famous because he is a loud-mouth and because he is willing to do anything for attention. You too can become famous if your willing to stoop to any level just to get attention from others. There are plenty of people out there that have lots of money you never hear of because they choose to live quiet lives and refuse to be complete buffoons to get attention.

No, actually he originally shot to fame on the "Regis Philbin Show" after it was discovered that he was the only human being in existence with just one hair growing out of the back of his head. He teased it and spun it around until it eventually resembled a complete head of hair. The hair was measured at an amazing 3/4 of a mile long when dry. Wet-it reaches almost a mile! It takes one full can of hair spray each day to keep it mounted on top of his head. He uses lacquer for television appearances.

He was famous already, not only because he is rich or because of The Apprentice. Also because he's a real estate investment genius who's written several books. He's been around for awhile.

Yea, he got his money from his father, and invested it on a building which he made a killing out of. But at the same time he is a natural business man, he is considered midas because he can turn pennies into gold. His strategies for making money make you want to learn just how he does it. It must be the hair too giving him that Hercules strength and luck!

Yes, no talent required!

Today being famous can mean absolutely anything and has no real value.

As for intelligence? Well the accumulation of bank notes is hardly an acheivement.
