I tried the control panel and "change how users log on" and turned off the welcome screen. and I turned offf the guest accounts, and i changed the admin. password to anew one. I logged off the pc, and restarted. At start up, windows skips the part where it supposed to ask for a password and goes on with business as usual. What am i doing wrong? and how can i fix it, i need to keep some teenagers off my pc. Any help will be deeply appreciated.

there must be only one user account in the system - that to without a password. (most likel it will have adminitrative rights as well)
just add a password to that account - it will then limit the access.

Also if you ues NTFS partitions on you hard drive then you may limit acces to any file by a selected grp of users just by right clicking them. This should help if you want to give your teenagres a limted access.
