I understand the mother's feelings of disappointment and failure, but this is still no reason to disown her child. A mother is a very important person in their child's life. Although the mother does not agree or approve of her daughter's choices, this still does not change the fact that she is her mother. Parents can love their children but not approve of all their decisions. No one is perfect, we all have faults and make mistakes, so the mother should just continue to be in her daughter's life even though she does not approve of all her daughter's decisions.

She should not have disowned her she should have just prayed for her. It is a sin to be a homosexual as it says so in the bible, man and woman were created to go forth and multiply not man and man or woman and woman how can they reproduce with each other? Read your bible and it will tell you these things. Romans 1:24-32 speaks of men with men. Genesis 1:27-28 this is where God created man and woman and told them to go forth and multiply.
You don't need to counteract with anything God will deal with her in his own time and reprimand her in the fashion that he sees fit.

Disowning your child sure as hell should be a sin. As far as I know, the Bible says that any homosexual will go straight to hell. So that's probably why she kicked her out. It's not exactly right to kick her out, but she is right in that her daughter is going to hell.

The bible says something about provoking your child to anger and children obeying can make your days longer. I'm a mother who spoke her mind on my grown child's habits . I don't regret what I said or the manner that I said it. She choose to stay away. I love my child. don't care for what she does. Have offered help she refuses. I still hug her and kiss her when I see her.

I don't know if its a sin, but I believe in loving children unconditionally. You don't have to like what your child do or become but their still your children

I think that is totally wrong! I would support my child and guide my child to do what is right but NEVER turn my back on him/her. It sounds like she is hypocritical and needs some counseling or maybe a good kick in the a**.

The middle daughter developed a mean, disrespectful and verbally abusive relationship despite my husband putting her thru 4 years of collage and buying her a new car. She doesn t answer our calls and talks so foul to my husband I cannot allow it to continue. He is devasted and heart broken. A certain situation occurred recently that was the "icing on the cake". I had even writtin her many letters. One was to tell her that her father was in the hospital for a crush injury to his spine. She didn t vist nor did she f
