It seems like everytime I hear a Republican being questioned about GW Bush's mistakes, they have to counter with something about Clinton. Their argument is usually Monica Lewinsky. Is this the biggest problem that Republicans have with him or are there others? If an affair was the worst thing he did while in office, I'd say we were pretty lucky. So he had a couple of girlfriends...how many girlfriends have some of the Reps had while in office? I'm not trying to start an argument, I really want to know what the right wing's biggest problem is with Bill Clinton.

Wow, not even 15 minutes in to this and pretty much every answer has had at least something to do with Lewinsky.

What I'm getting so far is Lewinsky. I can't find any answers that don't somehow get back to her. Therandman was doing well and was going to get best answer, but then she came up. Close but no cigar. There are good reasons, though...I just want them to stop going back to Monica.

With so may reasons to despise Clinton where do I start?
First, it's not the fact that he "had a couple of girlfriends." This would be fine were he single. Unfortunately Bill was married and had a child which means he is an adulterer. There goes his integrity. Next, Clinton lied while under oath while being questins about the Whitewater dealings and his relationship with Lewinsky. He also acted to obstruct justice. There goes more integrity and honesty.
For the record, Bill should have told Ken Starr to get bent when he was asked about Lewinsky. Monica had nothing to do with Whitewater.
After that comes the supposed "budget surplus" that the US had under Bill. We had that "surplus" becuase Bill simply gutted the Military's and the Intelligence Community's budget so they had tons more to spend on their social programs such as welfare.
Of course, the fact that the Intelligence Communities no longer had the proper funding they needed had no had in their failure to detect and prevent the September 11th attacks I'm sure.
What also aided the attacks were the laws which Bill signed into law which greatly restricted the flow of information between the FBI, CIA, NSA and other state and federal law enforcement agencies.
Next was the fact that Clinton authorized the sale of ballistic missille technology to the Chinese which allowed them to go from a no-threat nation to a first-strike capability nation and now, suddenly North Korea is also developing their missille technology in leaps and bounds.
Further is how BIll wholly deplored the military, evidenced by his cutting their budgeting, yet sending them on every single peacekeeping operation possible. Worst of all of all of these was Operation Restore Hope and the Battle of Mogadishu in1993.
Operation Restore Hope was an utter failure on a number of levels. This was the first time that US troops were wholly under the command of a UN entity. In previous peacekeeping missions the US called the shots. Not so here. Also, Clinton refused to authroize the armor unit and C-130 Spectre gunships that would normally provide support for our troops. Also, Clinton refused the troops the authority to conduct night-time raids where our superior technology would give our soldiers an significant advantage.
Our soldiers were a few thousad in a city of hundreds of thousands. Running night-time operations, armor and air support were critical and Clinton wholly ignored the recommendations of his military leaders and those in Somolia time and again. Task Force Ranger is specially trained, equipped and deployed to run night-time missions and Clinton simply used them as cannon fodder.
On Oct 3-4th the US forces attempted to capture a local warlord named Mohamed Farrah Aidid. After the battle in which 19 US soldiers dies and scores more wounded Clinton decided to pull the US forces due to negative polls numbers.
This lead to the impression that the US would back down after a loss.
Then there were a staggering number of terrorist attacks against US interests during Clinton reign.
The USS Cole.
The Khobar Towers
US Embassy bombings in Tanzania and Kenya
First attack on the World Trade Center
In response to the Embassy bombing Clinton destroyed an aspiriin factory.
Wow.
"President Bill Clinton announced the attacks in a TV address, saying the target was terror. Some, however, saw this as a way of attracting attention away from the Lewinsky scandal. On August 17, three days prior to the missile strike, President Clinton admitted in a nationally televised address that he had an inappropriate relationship with White House intern Monica Lewinsky. This address followed President Clinton's grand jury testimony earlier that day (see Wag the Dog)."
Quote from the last link provided.
It's also important to note that every claim that the left makes against Bush re the war in Iraq Clinton did as well.
They claim that Iraq never attacked and and that Iraq was never a threat to us.
Well, Afghanistan and Sudan never attacked the US and yet Clinton launched over 100 cruise missilles into those soverign nations and claimed to do so in order to combat "Terror".
So, in closing I despise Bill Clinton because he was an ineffective, vile, despicable, contemptous, obsequious, pathetic piece of human excrement and has done far more to damage the view of the US than any President before or after him.

My problem with the loser is that he is not a man and has no values. The man had no spine to tackle the hard issues that were present during his administration. The WTC was bombed, the USS Cole was attacked, the US Embassies were bombed, and he did nothing about it. We were attacked in Mogadishu, our troops retaliated and were on the offensive and then Slick Willy pulled out which is what OBL cites as America being a paper tiger. Clinton also cut military funding for intel, operations, and troops in half to balance the budget. That move cost America 3,000 + lives on 911 - what a brilliant decision that was. He instructed Jamie Groelick to block intel agencies form communicating with each other which allowed the 911 terrorist to move & train freely here. Last but not least he raised taxes which strated the reccession that Bush inherited. Obvisouly he doesn't have any faith, morals, charater - or maybe he would have honored his wedding vows he took with Hillary like the majority of american married men. He was a joke of a president and will never be able to get his legacy past Monica. These are just a few problems I had with him and I am sure that numerous items could be added - Such as "Socks" Sandy Burgalar.

My biggest problem with Clinton is he turned a blind eye to the Bin Laden and the terrorists with he was President. He did nothing while our embassy's were attacked until he was caught with Monica Lewinsky, then he did something to divert attention from him. I watched a documentary on that the other night on that. I voted for Clinton the first time he ran, but did not the the second term. He has the morals of an alley cat with no respect for his wife, his position at that time or the office he held.

The problem with too many people is that they tend to see and understand what they want. Selective memory so to speak. Bill Clinton is a liar under oath, was disbarred by a judge that he appointed because of the lies. Bombed an aspirin factory trying to cover up the Lewinsky affair and other conduct that has made him the scum bag of the political world. Also he is a dangerous psychopathic liar.

Republicans just hate Clinton irrationally. Basically, it is because he did very well and did well by the country all in spite of everything that they could come up with to stymie him. So they are just livid about that: he showed people that the non-Republican way of social progress and fiscal responsibility works very well, and he survived in office in spite of their spite.
Also, they need somebody to blame for the results of their current policies, so they drag him back into things to have somebody, anybody, to blame. And they are completely clueless as to the ridiculousness of it all.
They make up things, totally make them up, deny they constantly dug up any molehill they could blow up into a major crisis, forget they shut down the government several times, deny that the economy was so good that the US had a surplus at the end of his term, which they squandered immediately, forget that the stock market took a steep dive at the election of Bush, dismiss the fact that we are deeper in debt than we have ever been in history [Bush has borrowed more money in his one term than was borrowed in all the previous 211 years of American history].
They also are clueless that the man's legal problems were caused by them and their constant sniping and scheming and mean-spirited fighting: they tried to create a "high crime" out of the man's personal pecadillos and manuvered him into a difficult position and seized on his reaction to further blow things up. And they forget what this looked like to the whole world and how much sympathy he received and how appalled at the behavior of his Republican enemies the world was.
These kinds of Republicans are self-righteous ideologues and true-believer types and have no insight into their deficiencies of character and lack of decency in conduct.
