i know you didn't ask about installing, so i apologize but thought i would point you towards this website that has a wealth of info and helps calculate how many panels, how much space is needed and other details, in case you didn't know of it. it is more centered towards installs though. i'm looking into this as well right now and found this site to be rather useful though.

We have a retreat cabin, and had roof-mounted solar panels installed there. We went with thermocell (they have a website), and have had no problem whatsoever. They were professional, answered a battalion of questions from us without batting an eyelash, and were extremely helpful. I highly recommend them. We talked with several companies before going with them, and we found they were the best for us and our needs. They are based in New Zealand. I hope you find what you are looking for, and good luck!
