I'm sorry to tell you this, but once you have a yeast infection, you are much more likely to get more. If you are quite sexually active, you may want to try douching every so often. Use a very mild form and follow the labels directions for how frequently to use it. Also, if you use tampons, never use them past 8 hours. Use smaller sizes if necessary. Tampons used for too long are a great cause of yeast infections. While you do have an infection, change your underwear at least twice a day. Make sure you wash them well and that they are completely dry, (from the washing!). I myself have used Canestan one day therapy, but if you get infections quite often, I suggest you consult your doctor for a milder type. The one day types are quite strong and should not be used often. Take care of yourself, no one else will.

You can take Acidopholous - this is the stuff in yogurt that helps balance the bacteria and such that can cause yeast infections. You can get acidopholous wherever you can get vitamins and dietary supplements. I take 1 daily with my multivitamin, and I take 2 a day whenever I am on antibiotics (since the antibiotics kill the natural bacteria you have down there). So far so good. I think it really helps. I still eat yogurt, but this way, you don't have to eat it everyday (but it wouldnt hurt if you did). Taking a pill in the morning is very simple and it seems to work! Good luck.

There are several things you can do to prevent a yeast infection the first one and the one I hate is wearing cotton panties, wearing no panties at night time to air out, change your panties if there damp feeling, wipe front to back and wash after sex sperm and trigger a yeast infection also. And remember if you have a yeast infection your partner (s) may also have one and can reinfect you.

eat yogurt regularly, the bacteria in it prevents yeast. Use cotton panties only. Do not use scented feminine products. What medicines are you on? Antibiotics can cause yeast ot grow. Try sleeping at night without panties to "air out". Call the doctor if you are treating yourself with OTC yeast inf. meds and they keep reoccuring. You may need something stronger like Diflucan.

it could be from alot of different things. like wearing tight jeans all the time. you have to let loose sometimes so that way you can breath. sleep without any panties. good way to vent. it can also be the type of tissue you use. it is very hard to deal with. i use summers eve antibacterial bath gel. it helps alot.
