I have been really stressed with school and family issues. I have taken two tests one at the doctor and one at home both came back negative.

Yes definitely. Stress can cause your body to behave in abnormal ways. It can delay getting your period, it can make the flow increase or decrease. I know you mentioned that you are going through some stressful things but try to relax a bit.

Absolutely! Stress can have so many impacts on our body and altering your period is just one of them. Try not to stress so much. Look at your situations and decide which of them in the grand scheme of things is not really important. Then let it go. I know it's hard to do, but many times it's just having to accept the fact that some things are out of your control. Don't stress and let your body have time to recuperate! And I'm glad that you use protection for sex so I know you're a smart girl. Learn to give a little.....

Yes, yes yes. Stress is a powerful thing. It not only can alter your periods, but your blood pressure and overall wellbeing. It's not easy cause life is always going to throw something at you. You have to learn to relax and pick and choose what is really yours to worry about. Does worrying really help change the outcome to any situation? It takes a lot of practice to learn not to stress.
