Ying/Yang refers to the opposite but necessary elements contained in all things and Ying is represented by water and is feminine . It represents the darker elements and is passive and opposed by Yang, the male element, representing active , lighter side. It is represented by fire.
Jung on the other hand is a real person, a psychiatrists who has written many books and is world renowned. How the two oppose each other I do not see, But, I'm sure Jung could tell us.

As a lay Biblical counselor I can relate to Ying/Yang. Jung is totally of base though.

Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.

Genesis 2:18 Then the LORD God said, "It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him."

Genesis 2:23 Then the man said, "This at last is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man." 24 Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.

Did you know that men have XY chromosomes while women have XX chromosomes? Therefore a woman could come from a man's genes but not vice versa.
