By t being an open interview my chances are kinda even as far as getting the job. I do have the experience need for the job. But im not sure if my hair will be an issue in the hiring process. In the job ill be driving a truck around doing cable. Wearing my own cloths. So does anyone have any idea what i should do. Its been a year now that i have been growing them. And i keep them neet and washed getting them touched up every week.

Research the company and find out if there is a code or look for appearence they are looking for. If you can not find out whether or not there are restrictions on appearances, I would keep in mind that looking neat and tidy is a must for the interview process. If you will feel uncomfortable without your locks, the look of being uncomfortable will show throughout your interview. Maybe you should have your hair washed, dried and just keep those locks neatly combed away from your face. Do not have your hair looking messy or unkept. If the interviewer tells you that the style of your hair is not within the regulations for the job, do not take it personally. Let them know that it would not be an issue, you will meet the requirements of TWC regarding your hair because you want this job.

As long as your overall appearance isn't too faddish, then you should be fine. Keep your hair neat and clean, and dress nicely and you should do great. Don't, however, have longish hair, baggy pants, logo shirts, oddly laced sneakers, ext. at the same time. It screams teenager and immature (even if neither is true) when you want to say professional and reliable. To add to your appeal, consider getting a manicure when you get your hair touched up before the interview, and be sure to have clean, crisp copies of your resume--even if you think you will be filling out applications. Resumes are always a nice touch. Good Luck.

look is always important when interviewing for a job. It is the first encounter with a potential employer. That first impression that leaves a trace in the mind of the interviewer. However, you say you have your locks neatly cared. So, I don't see a problem with them. However, be carefull you consider more than just your locks. Dress neatly, a clean face, and shower also for the interview. The exterior look is only a percentage of your score in the interview. Be assertive and firm in your answers. Good luck

When you are being interviewed you have to look as neat as possible. The first impression is fundamental. Seek information about the requirements of the company and their employers appearance. You have to feel confident and secure in the interview, so if you think that the hair will be a problem then cut it, (remember hair grows back). Good luck!!

Well I would wait to see if you get the job first. Cutting hair is not a bad thing especially this time of year. Just keep in mind that it will always grow back. If you are well groomed them don't cut it. First impression is important, and no matter the profession/Field you are in you should always look your best. Locks or not.

Yes you should go well groomed with your hair cut above the shoulder. People should not judge based on appearance, but in the working world bosses want someone who looks well put together. Since I work from my home and my work involves art I can get by with a more outrageous look. For your field do not go wearing visible piercings or tattoos. If it was your own business and you had an established clientele and a good reputation then you could get by with it. Til then go well groomed whether it is your style or not.

well for an interview you should always look your best no matter what . So yes in my opinion you should cut your hair a normal way not long and not too short you dont want to give a basd immpression i mean it might just be a interview but from that interview and how you look and present yourself lets them know if your efficent for the job or not

I have no problem with longer hair on men as long as it is neat and clean, however it is taboo in many work places. If you want to succeed and be advanced in the work place cut your hair. More than likely you will have to cut it at some point, so get it over with. Even if you do not get this position, it may hinder you at the next place you apply.

Good luck.

It pays to look as if you do care about yourself, and neater hair is in your favour.
I would have a haircut for sure and look as smart as you can.
I wish you well and hope you get the job.
Make sure you think positive...as what you think gets projected to the interviewers..so think that you will get the job and don't think anything negative at all.
Just think about how good you will be in the job and project confidence..
I wish you well.

My personal opinion, if you have the experience they are looking for, and your record speaks for itself. No, keep the hair. However, keep it neat and clean for the interview. But if you have tattoos and piercings, you may want to cover them at least for the interview. And good luck. I have interviewed people. I look for neatness not hair length.
