Wow, that's actually difficult to answer. I've heard that the Coral Snake has the most potent venom of the 4 poisonous snakes that are indigenous to the continental US, but they rarely come into contact with humans, so they pose no danger to the vast majority of the country.

As far as greatest danger to the largest number of Americans, I vote for the Brown Recluse Spider (you know how much I LOVE spiders). The Brown Recluse venom actually causes tissue to become necrotic and can lead to the loss of an appendage or even a limb.

But, it you live on the coasts, the Box Jellyfish wins the prize for the greatest adverse effects on the largest number of Americans. While rarely deadly, you definitely would rather not come across its tentacles while swimming!

That depends. Wolverines, badgers, grizzly bears and gila monsters are all very dangerous but rarely contact with humans. On the other hand dogs can hurt you if they want to, are most common and easily overlooked because they are domesticated. If you want the deadliest animal, most vicious, and most aggressive-I'd have to go with the grizzly and the wolverine. You can't outrun them like a reptile or badger and there is really no defense against the grizzly. But you could climb a tree to get away from a wolverine-so I'll definately say the grizzly.
