Organic anything is better for you! BHT a chemical preservative is used in our red fruits to keep them pretty and red on the store shelves. They wax them to keep them shiny, and spray pesticides in the soil and trees. It has been shown that receptors for estrogen in women will grab the pesticides instead, unable to decipher the two. It is a strong case for the cause of breast cancer. So maybe the actual apple itself may not be "better", but you know what your getting.
