I am a Wellness Consultant, I help people with health problems. I also teach other to do this. I speak in front of people all the time, from groups to individuals. I do big and small events to let others know my services are available, I am also currently teaching on bird flu and the truths about it and speak at everything from disaster conventions to town meetings. If you want a career where you can speak and make a difference this is great, and I love what I do. You can email me for more info.

In the realm of this discourse, that is, business, the professions that require one to speak in front of people is Marketing/Advertising or Public Relations. People saddled with the responsibilities these professions demand are always communicating with the customers (or would-be customers) of their companies with the aim of selling or creating awareness about their products.

When you say "speak in front of people" how big a crowd of people are you specifying. I am a Human Resources Assistant, I sometimes have to speak in front of new employees (ranging from 1 to 30 people) to explain to them the different forms and inform them of their benefits.

If you're talking about large crowds, our Medical Center Director sometimes has to talk in front of groups of 100s.

Even Tupperware Consultants speak in front of groups of a few or dozens.

The answer to that question could be almost ANY. Any type of work at all- especially if you're good at what you do will require you to relay information to others and sometimes to a group of folks who need to learn what you know.
