Go to Control panel and then go to Display. You can play with the display settings under APPEARANCE and make your background to the text under your icons transparent.

You cannot. The icon background is designed into the actual icon itself. Icons that want the background that it is sitting on to show through use a specific color or "transparency" to indicate areas where the icon should be transparent.

Right click on the desktop, this is display properties, click on appearance's tab. The color scheme is in there, and there is a drop down menu that will change just about everything, in appearance

circulate to >exhibit properties>laptop. backside suitable you will see a colour button click on "different" on backside. Make a colour that blends with the laptop and click ok . it is going to alter the colors in the back of the icons. in case you decide on an actual colour theres a unfastened utility called "pixie" you ought to use to make an actual colour. in case you have XP you're able to be waiting to alter to lively laptop and that they are going to be clean.
