ok, hang on for a second. think to yourself,"Why am i doing this? Is it because i am concerned? Or am i nosey?" Is your daughter's boyfriend reliable? Because if he is then if the situation is not broken, dont try to fix it.

I was going to answer "Because he's a pervert." but I guess I was (more or less) beaten to it.
If you want a more detailed psychological reason (and you can bet he is effected by some sort of psychosis), you'd have to talk to his psychologist. There is a reason this is illegal in most places. It's not normal and it's certainly not healthy.
Ignore the answers below mine. They try to justify why the average 19 year old male would do this. However, being a male myself and knowing many besides, I can attest that it is not something to be justified. At 19, the thought of dating a 14 year old would seem grotesque (if I ever had it).

A 19 year old guy would want to date your 14 year old daughter either because he really likes her but you might want to check into that ... or he doesnt know she is 14 there is some guys out there that are stupid ... or he thinks that since she is 14 she will let him have sex so i would really look into this but try not to let your daughter know because even though she is not doin anything wrong .. she might think that you dont trust her ... but good luck

1: Your daughter is mature for her age, physically speaking she could maybe pass for an 18 year old.
2: Your daughter looks 14 and the guy's a total perv/pedo.
You know what your daughter looks like, so you can probably apply one of these two answers to her

First thing - It is quite obvious - the question is asked by the daughter NOT the mother.
Second thing - That's OK. At least the daughter has the wisdom to ask for advice even if it is under disguise.
Third thing - My advice to you is to Stay away from him. You are going to find boys your age. Dating a boy much older than you will only create problems at every stage in your life whether it is now or later.

He is either a little immature or trying to use her age to dominate and control her I think the More important question is does your daughter want to date him. You can help her make healthy choices but you can't do much other than threaten legal action against the boy.

Guys take a bit longer to mature and girls often mature faster....sooooo....sometimes a young girl IS at the same level as an older guy. However, its still creepy and should be "nipped in the bud".

because he's probably very immature emotionally, and he relates to her in some ways...It's wrong yes...he may like that she's pure and innocent..untouched..when I was her age I was dating older guys..and almost all of them wanted sex...i'd watch out for him.
