there is not much antioxidant activity in Cinnamon or Clove but Cinnamon helps diabetics by making you re body more sensitive to insulin Cloves if you are talking about regular cloves that is use as a spice this one is more use as bacteriostatic agent a real powerful antioxidant that works great for diabetics is Alpha Lipoic Acid is a great antioxidant it protects the body from height blood sugar damage

I am an alternative medicinal therapist and I can tell you that both can be taken, but Cinnamon is the best.
