would you consider them "clean?" She used to take oxycotin for getting high and coke....now she's only taking the pills again, or so I'm told....I would says she's NOT clean....correct?

I think this will lead to other things again.....

Also...would you let her watch your kids? (I would guess NO)

No she's not clean. No she shouldnt be watching children. Oxycoton addiction is a serious addiction. It has been compared to that of a heroin addiction. It is also one of the hardest drugs on the liver. For someone to be considered clean, they don't use anything! If she was being tested, she'd be dirty.

I work with a couple people that make no secret of their recreational use of the prescription pain killers of others.. they would fail a drug test without the necessary medical paperwork to justify the results. This would make them "dirty" as opposed to "clean" in my views.
They are fine to work with.. but on a personal level, if I had kids I would not trust them because I would deem them as some kind of liability for their reduced capacity to be attentive.
And besides.. if someone needs medicine for pain.. what happens if they run out because they gave it away (or sold it). I would feel very responsible for their unnecessary suffering.

As for if it will lead to other things... yes or no..that is in the mindset of the user..
Did she get the prescription for "real" reasons.. Is it a necessary remedy for what ails her?
If the answer is yes.. be mindful of the addictive qualities of these types of drugs and their ability to perhaps encourage the user seek a better alternative to dull or mask the pain when the dosage becomes less and less effective as the body gets used to them.
If the answer is no, she is on the pathway for relapse into the insanity that is "hard drug" use and addiction. Rehab is the answer. Hopefully before she gets to this stage.
This is all my personal opinion, with NO qualifications to know what may be the right answer for her (or your) situation.

No I would not let her watch my kids. I am not really sure about if legally she is considered clean. By my standards I would say she is not and I would also caution against relapsing into the coke. Hopefully you can help her through this or find someone that can. Good Luck.
