I went through this at about your age. I also have a BBA. You may or may not be suffering from depression. Your unhappiness at work is quite common though. Many people feel that way.
It would be best to see your doctor to make sure there are no underlying medical conditions causing your unhappiness, because these kinds of things can be treated. Whether it is a thyroid condition, other medical problem or true depression, it can be treated.
It may also help to find someone to talk with like a counselor; and you may want to use different types of counselors such as a career counselor, life coach, a minister, a social worker or psychologist. You need to explore why you are unhappy at work.
Are there any life long patterns causing your unhappiness, are you simply in the wrong line of work for your personality, etc....
If it turns out that it is something about the job itself or the work environment, then are there ways to improve it or make it better? If not, then it is probably time to move on to something more rewarding and fulfilling for you.
That is where career counselors can help and job testing, those kinds of things. You may also want to do some volunteer work in other areas to see where you find interests and challenges. Start talking to other people that have jobs that appeal to you. Pick their brains and learn about their jobs and work. That is what I did and it led me down an unexpected path. Now I have a career and work that I truly love.
GOOD LUCK !!!!!!

if you think you are suffering from depression, you very well may be. please do see your doctor asap!
your work life can directly affect the rest of your life, so take charge and make a plan to fix it. you are worth the effort.
so first thing--see a doc and ask for a professional opinion and get some satisfactory help. second thing--are there new approaches you could take to your work that might make things better? a mentor or boss that could suggest changes? if not, start looking for a way out. this may mean changing jobs...that said, remember that "wherever you go, there you are." this means that no matter what position you have in what company, you are still the same old you. if you don't change whatever is bothering YOU in first place, you'll have a new job and the same you. so seek answers from within before changing what's around you.

My suggestion to you is to think long and hard about your life..get some medical advice in case it is depression but don't let your job make you miserable...life is just wayyyy to short for that. Take some time to explore what makes you happy and do it, some may call it irresponsible but some people are just not cut out for the plain mundane 9-5 business world. I find myself in the same situation as you right now but I know alot of mine is the job itself is not challenging and I do not keep busy enough, and I am completely miserable with it. I feel like I am in a rut with my life....so I have decided to make some changes, I unlike you though I didn't finish college so this fall I am going back to finish my BA in Computer Sciences, which is something that interests me, I am also contemplating some other changes, I'm going to find a different job one that doesn't pay as well but offers more of a challenge, more working with people and helping people which feels good to me, and trying to start a small business on the side something I enjoy doing that can allow me to be flexible with my time, I know its a gamble but if you don't take risks in life your not really living

It is an excellent idea to get a professional opinion. Until you have that, I wouldn't be listening to any in-depth advice - it could be wrong or even damaging.
That doesn't prevent you from doing some research (on you own time - too many sick days and your options will be limited to "your fired" or "your fired"). Most colleges have resource departments where you can perform career testing - stating your likes and dislikes and matching you with various career fields that match your interest. What about the student sevices department from the college you graduated from?? It's a start!
Also, government employment sites may also have this resource .
You wouldn't be the first, or last, person to have a full career change - at least once! You have to like what you do - so you need find out what you like in life and try to apply it to a profession.

Start reading more about online businesses. Not a mlm and all that, rather start your own business online. You can set up as an affiliate marketer, write ebooks and a whole lot of other ways to make money online. It won't happen over night so you will still have to have a job, but if you start now, you will get there sooner.
Check out the ideas on this site. I found a couple that are helping me.

Why be stuck at a job you don't like? My suggestion would be to keep your current job (as you need the money to support yourself) and soul search - "what job would make me really happy?" You might just be in the wrong field! Maybe cooking would make you the happiest, construction?, the sky's the limit!! You say that you don't know what makes you happy, Start with you hobbies, could you see your self doing any of them on a daily basis? Maybe you need a change of scenery, ask your boss for a transfer to a different department of the business that you work for? Maybe you aren't getting challenged enough at work?
Good Luck.

I would take a weekend and really think about what you want to do with yourself. I know it is hard. You want to do something you enjoy but don't do something that is a hobby because then that hobby becomes a job to you. Do something you can be happy with. If that means that you would like to work by yourself, then do some research for at home jobs. There are real legite ones...they are hard to find but they are out there.
Doesn't matter how old you are....you can do what makes you happy...you just have to find out what that thing is.

You do not like what you do, that is easy to see. You need to look for what make you really happy. I became a Wellness Consultant last August and found everything I was looking for. FREEDOM, I work when, where, and with whom I want know and have a great lifestyle. My family is happier and healthier and our lives are in balance, this is by far the best move I ever made. If you would like to know more about being truly happy just email me.

Being unsatisfied does not mean it's OK to be irresponsible. If you are suffering from depression, you should seek some help; however, most of the time people just submit to their depression and allow it to win. After all, it's easier to submit than to fight against something. On my 360 page, I have a quote saying, "What you don't take authority of will soon take authority over you."

I would definitely talk to your doctor. Depression is easily treated these days. In the meantime, you should look into taking a FMLA (family medical leave). This will give you time to decide what you want to do, apply for other jobs if you want, and start treatment for depression, if you need it.
