I have just recently seen a few women comment on their lack of interest in sex. This really surprises me because I am married and I love making love to my husband. Of course there are times when I'm exhausted (I have an 18 year old son), but making love is still very much appealing to me. I just want to know what to do so I don't lose my libido. If there are any women out there that have dealt with this, why do you think this happened to you? Does this person truly make you happy? Are you just super busy with kids and deadlines? Are you still madly in love with your husband? What went wrong?

I think a lot of it has to do with the amount of effort you have to put in. If you and your partner have spent years building up the idea that the woman has to writhe around, look sexy, moan while she gives head, etc., but all the man has to do is lie still and occasionally wiggle his hips .... damn, that sounds like a lot of work to me.

I think what you have to do is what it sounds like you've already done -- make sure that you've built up a trusting, sexy, equal relationship, where you "get what you need," where it's OK for the woman to lie still sometimes, where it's OK for the man to moan sometimes, and where it's OK to say "No, thanks, not tonight," without hard feelings or the risk of shutting that door forever.

Also, body-image and sexual drive are so tied up in each other, and so many women have body-image problems, whether it's because they are actually unhealthy, or because something/someone has convinced them they have. I think a lot of the women who profess to be uninterested in sex are more like uninterested in taking off their clothes.

It sounds like you have already solved this problem for yourself, anyway. If you've got an 18-year-old, you've been doing this awhile and haven't lost interest yet!

Good luck ...

Because it is a legitimate question that needs to be answered. Personally, I don't feel victimized, but I recognize the many circumstances where blacks can make racist comments about whites without reprecussions, but, were the situation reversed, Jackson and Sharpton would make it a huge deal. Example: The movie Whick Chicks. Had white men dressed up as black girls, and acted in a stereotypically "black" manner, all hell would have broken loose. Again, I'm not personally offended as a white dude, but equal rights should mean just that; equality- not the right for any one group to get away with saying anything they want about any other group, no matter what may have happened in the past.

I'm really insecure with myself being that I'm overweight. Ever since I've had my little girl I haven't been interested in sex at all. I don't know what the hell is wrong with me.

I have not lost interest in sex. Actually, I think my drive is much higher than my boyfriends'. He tells me he can't keep up with me but really he does fine.
