Lately, I've been having this feeling that I've made so much mistakes in the past that I want to go back and make everything right again. Does anyone else have that feeling?

I know exactly what you mean, the chance to avoid old mistakes and change past events is very enticing - until you realise that if you hdn't made all of thase choices / mistakes you would probably have made a whole other load!

If you went back in time and stopped a loved one dying in an accident, that same person could have gone on to develop a disease and suffer for years, making the accident a kinder way to go.

The smallest choices have great effects on the path your life follows, who's to say the changes you make will be for the better?

We are all a product of our upbringing and life experiences, be happy with who you are, love what you've become and live for the future, not the past.

When I was younger I wanted to go back to the past. I wanted to see the Civil War, Napolean's march across Europe, hang out with George Washington or Ben Franklin, that kind of thing.

Of course, you're not really asking that. You're asking if I'd want to go back and avoid or change the outcome of mistakes I've made. Fortunately, it's an immutable law of our world that you simply can not go back. There are no "do overs".

There shouldn't be.

Those things happened for a reason. We are to - hopefully - learn from these mistakes, grow and improve, become better human beings and subsequently help others to avoid similar pitfalls.

So, own up to your mistakes. Sometimes you have to eat a big honking piece of humble pie, and it won't be an easy thing to do. But you have to if you're to move on and live better and healthier in your heart and mind and soul.

Apologize if you have the opportunity.
Ask forgiveness..
Offer forgiveness (but only if you are able and can do so with a selfless heart).
Forgive yourself.
Move on.

The thing is that if you did go back, you would make the same mistakes again...imagine having to live it all again.

You should let the past stay where it is...in the past...and concentrate on the now, and the future.
We waste time worrying about things we can do nothing about...better to give energy to making the now better.

Each time you remember the past, you strengthen it..so start thinking postive futures and life will get much better..

Its like Pavlov's training..our thoughts decide our lives...so make your thoughts work for you...visualize what you can do and forget what you cannot change...
There is a lot in Pollyanna who saw good in everything...you should visualize what can be so it can be..

Yes most people do especially those who have not allowed their conscience to die. You should be happy that u still have sufficient turn of mind to acknowledge some wrong doings. Just make conscious efforts to do right as much as u can.

dont look at them as mistakes...they are learning experiences...think about this...would you make the same mistakes again? No? Then you learned something from them and learning is good.

I wish our entire lives were captured on video and we could replay moments. I wouldn't change anything but there's certain times I'd like to see again. It'd be cool to watch.

Yes, but you can't so focus on the future and what you can do. What can you do now to make things better.
