Your question caught my attention, and since it was answered correctly, I won't answer it again, I will just mention a bit of trivia that is not included in either of the links others so kindly supplied.

I read an interview with him in a library journal, and he said that V.C. Andrews not only left synopses of her other stories, but in many cases actual detailed outlines plotting every chapter and every developement of her stories. Those are the ones he wrote first. I suspect that, since the critics say he isn't keeping up with the quality of her original works, he has run out of the more detailed outlines and is now left just with generalized synopses which he is trying to flesh out as best he can.
