No, I'm a scientist but I'm certainly not a genius. You do need to have an imaginative mind though. Most of the hands on work we do - anybody could do. Its thinking about why things work the way they do which is the hard bit. Most reasonable intelligent people can become scientists if they have a bit of imagination.

no not really ... mostly you just have to be clever. You have to be able to look at a problem in a couple differant ways.

But mostly you have to enjoy what it is that you are studying.

Genius just means that you know a lot. you become a genius when you become a scientist.

Its is all about how you apply your self not how "smart" you are.

einstein owned 7 suits, all of them were the exact same so he never had to get confused in the morning with what to ware.
He also lived in row houses where all houses looked the same. So that he did not walk in to other peoples houses he had his door painted red .

He might have been a genius but in MANY other ways he was dumb as a brick.

No, you don't need to be a genius to be a scientist. You do have to be willing to devote a lot of time to study and be persistent.

Absolutely NO! You can do anything you set your mind to, man (Eminem - Oh GOD, I'm quoting Eminem). My doctor is a husband (boy that's backwards - I really need help) and he insists that determination alone got him to where he is and will take him further. He thinks that I am "smarter" than him LORD help us all.

You can be a scientist, you just need to have an analytical personality and bear a strong, strong attention to detail. And keep studying and believing that if someone else has done it, well, that is scientific proof that you can, too.

Not really!
You need to be genius in order to be Philosopher!
Further, most genius people can not do well in our society, since we are not ready to accept them!

Inspiration is the key. Even if an idea won't work think it through and write down why it won't work. Because telling the world why something won't work is as good as a new working idea.
The key is you don't always have to be right, just persistent.
