Yeah.. if you have the right product(s) to sell. I sell stuff I find at yard sales and auctions... sometimes I advertise looking for particular items as well. I will make between $5000 and $10,000 USD a year and I only sell part time for fun, usually between Oct and April... probably 25 to 40 items per week. If I can make that kind of money just doing it part time, then if you wanted to devote full time hours and you have some money to invest in buying product to sell (such as Corgi and other diecast toys that seem to do well, as an example) then you should be able to make a living.

Good luck

Cheers!

Yes, I think you can. You have to be willing to let things go for a resaonable and low price, than others are selling them for on ebay. You must take plenty of closeup pic of the item. Then you must in detail describe the item and all of its quirks. Then last but not least post it. You wont believe how much money you can make once you decide to take the chance. Its worth it!

Yes why not. A person can sell the things only if it is competitively priced. It also depends upon the presentation, i.e adding images and giving enough description about the product. Also, payment mode matters a lot because many people don't buy things online because of online frauds.

I'm mad at eBay too. I will never give them a penny ever again. But I guess you can, if you have a right product that people would want and buy before any new products on the market. If you're clever enough to find what it is, you definitely will.

Thats how the "ebay" website started. You should read how "ebay" got started.
So, YES you could be successful ... its all a matter of how you proceed...

no.
They rape you on lising and final value fees.

The primary question that you need to ask yourself is.. How much is my time worth.

If you sell something, and profit $10.00, great !... But if it took you 3 hours time you only made $3.33 per hour :(

As with all business though, it really depends on what your expectations and available resources are.

On the whole, the advertizements that you hear on radio & TV .."Start your own business" are prety much a scam.

I have had friends to do it, so I know it is possible. you just have to have the time, want to put in the effort, and have items that people will buy.
