Why the does the United States give billions of dollars to other countrys and does nothing about the homeless.

Could it be that the wealthy polititicians in congress don't care about the average American. You cannot support a family under $12.00 per hour. What is wrong here?

We'd rather be the world police than take care of our own. Now, i don't think we should just be giving money to the homeless, but it could certainly go toward programs and centers that help someone get back up on their feet to be a productive member of society again.

Because most of the people in government have never been hungry , cold or homeless.That is why they can't feel for the downtrodden. The fact is that the government also believes that we are the "all that country" in that there are services and free help here or there. That no matter how bad it is , it is still not as bad as in the other countries being supplied with the help. The homeless have to be dying first i guess before they are counted. It is amazing that the FDA says you need 4 or 5 fruits and veggies and so many glasses of milk and so much protein etc. Yet, go to the grocery store and it is just not affordable. Now, it's choosing between gas or food. Because you can't afford both. It's a vicious circle. That's why people drink or do drugs...to not think about how hard it is. Look, Since this Prez has been in, the price of even stamps has gone up. Look at your phone bills or cable and computer connection fees every Co. ALL CHARGE for line fees and land fees plus any thing that they can give a definition to they charge for. Even your electric. Month after month, year after year. These Companies just think things up to get a few cents more here and there.Remember when you could connect to regular channels w/ just an antenna, or rabbit ears? Now, the poor can't even get that. Everything has a price....so much for capitol ism . It is for the wealthy. Let's face it.Maybe in our next life......

Because money going out is to buy influence. Of coarse wealthy politicians don't care about the average American... it's all about feeding their ego. Politics and Religion attract sociopaths who only think of doing what is best for their own interest.

As much as I agree with you about supporting a family, other countries have few well paying jobs so almost no one outside the leader of their governments can afford to live. Also, since the US is considered a super power and the whole would hates the US, it doesn't hurt to help out countries

Because the minute we put foreign aid moneyinto solving problems here at home, the rest of the world will scream that America only cares about itself. Personally, I don't think that should stop us.

It's simple. There's no profit for the corporations. Much foreign aid money ultimately ends up in the coffers of Halliburton, et al.

YOU FORGET BEFORE SOMEONE CREATES A FAMILY THEY SHOULD LEARN TO MAKE A DECENT WAGE. TOO MANY PEOPLE THINK UNCLE SAM SHOULD DO EVERYTHING FOR THEM INSTEAD OF DOING IT THEMSELVES. THE SAME SMART PEOPLE THAT QUIT SCHOOL AND MADE FUN OF THOSE THAT TRY TO LEARN NOW SIT BACK AND SAY THAT THE PEOPLE THAT DID WELL SHOULD TAKE CARE OF THEM. WE NEED TO TAKE CARE OF OURSELVES NOT LET OTHERS DO IT FOR US. NATURALLY FOREIGN AID SHOULD BE CUT AND MONEY PUT INTO CREATING JOBS FOR THE NEAR IMBECILES THAT OUR SCHOOLS TURN OUT. INSTEAD OF SENDING MONEY TO FRANCE AND OTHER ANTI AMERICAN COUNTRIES IT NEEDS TO BE USED HERE.

nothing we always try to help the less fortunate .In th US you have the opportunity to do better .Ignorant people to lazy to work don't need help they need motivation as long as you give them a hand out they will not improve
