I used to stay there for decades, I lived in the Buckhead area of Atlanta (tremendous food and paying for), however that's a touch intense priced. I also lived in Marietta, that's beautiful, it is also no longer very intense priced to stay there. There are nevertheless lots of factors to do there. also, once you're searching for a water-aspect view, i'd recommend Savannah. that is captivating.
