After 14 months you should be healed. I would check with your OB and have it checked.

Mine has been 3 years, I am now pregnant again. It would give me itching spells all along, but now, oh boy, it's more than itching, it can downright hurt. I have a tear in my uterus from the scar tissue pulling back with the weight of the baby. It's not fun, but I don't complain. My doc just keeps a very close eye on me to make sure it doesn't tear so much that it ruptures or herniates.

I had luck with putting lanolin on it long after it healed, that would calm the itching down. And I don't shave there at all now, no way no how...that is awful when it grows back in!

My daughter is 15 months and was born by c-section. My scar still itches and feels uncomfortable occationally. More on the side where it healed poorly (it almost opened a couple of times at the beginning; but never got infected)

Check with doc.

Mine itched for probably about 5 or 6 months, partly because it was healing, and then partly because the hair growing back! But after the first six weeks it didn't hurt anymore. The very ends of the cut on both sides hurt considerably more than the middle because when they're pulling the baby out the edges of the incision can tear a little, and tears hurt worse than cuts. But it shouldn't hurt now...perhaps you should ask your doc.

my daughter will be 2 next weekend and still to this day there are some days that my scar hurt so bad I have to put a hot pack on it and just lay down that and taking some pain reliever help me alot I talked to my doctor about this she said it just depends on you and the way your body heals on how long it will take before the pain and tenderness go away. Don't get me wrong I'm not saying it hurts all the time maybe only a few days out of a month or so.I guess you just never know it just depends on you and your body . GOOD LUCK AND CONGRATS ON THE BABY

Have you been treating the scar with an oil or lotion containing perfume? Scarred skin is more sensitive and you might be making it itchy by moisturising it with a product you have a mild allergy to.

Try not using soaps or lotions on the area for seven days. After that, use a very small amount of olive or sunflower oil on the scar every three or four days for a few months.

I've had two c-sections and I was still sore 2 years after my first one, the reason it's itching is because it's healing. The inside part can take years to heal completely. It is completely normal, if you see an opening or oozing, that's not normal, so if that's the case go to your doctor.

I have never had a C-section, but I have had a hysterectomy and the scar is the same. That was four years ago and this scar still itches. It is usually from the scar tissue the surgery leaves behind.

my first baby was an emergency c-section and last week i had my son naturally an i was induced with him aswell, the doctors told me all this but when i researched it all soke to the doctor i found out that there is a risk of the scar tearing that why they want let you go over due because of the pressure but there is like a 1 % chance in your scar tearing and if you have only had 1 section some doctors will induce you aswell, I was all ready to go and book my section because my doctor wouldnt let me go natural but at the last appoiment my doc wasnt there and i had to see another doc and she said she would let me try naturall and i did, i also had the drip ut up to make my contractions come) i had about a 6 hour labour of real with strong contractions and my son was born at 3;29am with only 2 pushes, it also help them to let you have a vbac if you have had a previous natural birth because your pelvis has already had a baby throught it, It all depends on you and your doctor but dont let him scare you into thinking that you cant do it, ( my sister in law had a natural birth after to c-sections) you might get a doctor who will let you try just ask and see Good luck :-)

It will probably stay itchy for a while and if it is still sore talk to the doctor. And if it feels numb that normal but man does it every hurt when you just had the baby major pain I couldn't even move very much and that took at least 5 months to heal.

My daughter is 4 years old. I had a c-section. It hurt for a good while, still does every now and then. The itching is a sign that its healing and for that whole scare to heal, I think its going to take a while. If it gets to bothersom, call your doctor. Wish you luck!
