I know Alaska has quite a few islands--but does it have the most?

Alaska has the most. There are a lot of states with far more islands than Hawaii. For example, Michigan has 348 named islands, plus many other unnamed islands.

Actually, Michigan has the most islands. There was a recent study done and with a family member of mine helping with the study and they concluded that Michigan has over 500 islands. If you look at an atlas, you will see where the border lines are that cover the Great Lakes. Within those guide lines are several islands in which some are small but still islands. Some of the islands are not named due to research on fish, birds, etc.

Michigan has the most islands. Michigan also has over 3000 miles of beach front. It is a beautiful, beautiful state and if you never been to Michigan, you are missing out on one of the most beautiful places in the world. The West coast, North coast,and East coast are all different in the scenic aspect. There is simply no other state like it.
This is because of the Great Lakes but I just think people have to see it and must visit it to enjoy it. Just Gorgious

Alaska by far. It also has more coast line then the rest of the U.S. combined
