The external shots are mainly filmed around Scarborough and the North Yorkshire Moors inland from there - similar area to Goathland where Heartbeat is filmed...
Oh, and pompeyfox - if you're going to take the piss, sailor boy, at least get it right - we actually get up in the morning at 10 o'clock at night, half an hour before we go to bed....

Ooop north, I think.
It's grim ooop there, you know. They go to bed half an hour before they have to get up. They clean their teeth with a handful of gravel, work 32 hours a day down in the mines and they all have pet whipets.
