Why is it that people like to answer questions without reading all the details?

I only ask because I've asked at least 4 other questions and on 1 of my questions I was insulted twice because people didn't read the additional information. Why do people insist on not reading everything before they answer?

I know what you mean. Sometimes they don't even answer the question. If your going to answer, then read what the person said or move on. Some people just don't have the patience to read it all, that is ok then there are hundreds of other questions with not much to read.

I think its got something to do with the fact that its like a race to answer the question.

Yes we all get two points but theres nothing worse then when it appears your going to be the first answer and by the time you submit you have 5 others before you all with the exact same answer and sentencing. So I think people jump in and just quickly glance at the question and type away trying to beat others.

I think too many people are in a hurry to get their point of view across or talk about themselves. How many times have you had a one-sided conversation? What a bore to talk to people like that!

People in general think they know it all, it is a natural response, they speak before thinking. The good thing is, thought comes with age, so the older you get the more you think about it before you open your mouth. I speak from experience.

Because they think that they are better than everybody else and that they know more stuff than to waste their time reading details. Or maybe they are too eager to get points. REPORT THEM!
