Not every city map is that descriptive but yes you can actually find your house on Google Earth if your city map on Google Earth is the satellite picture of your city
Try NASA's World Wind version 1.3 its very good

Yes, you can depending on where your house is anyways. Some areas in the world dont have very developed satallite images. If you stay in areas like that am sure you would not see your house. Most part of the us and europe have well developed satallite images am sure if you stay anywhere there you will see your house. Hope that answers you well enough

Funny, that's one of the first sites I found out about from my cousin...she showed me and I was amazed at what computers could do.....though it showed the yard different than what mine looked like though my neighbors were correct..
I tried to look at the same site on my computer but I need to update it ...to old!

I saw mine but it is not a crystal clear picture, also the pictures are not always current - they are achieved shots from various times
