It depends on what you are looking for.
It is funny you mentioned Egypt as I am an American who just moved to Egypt. I love it here and prefer living here then in America.
And your religion will also play a major part in the answer here. As a Muslim I do prefer Egypt as I am excepted here, were in America they say I am equal, but to me if felt more like they just tolerated me. I think people would of been more ok with me if I was gay or maybe a stripper, they seem to be more excepted in American then non-Christians.

No. America isn't better. Just different. Individually, the majority of us wish that our president would mind his own damned business and stop sticking his snout into the affairs of others, but the world sees us as extensions of him. That is not the case, and as such, is quite sad.
The religious right has far too much of a foothold in running things in America for my taste.
