One a boat, From the shoure, AND from Sea world, lol. And I've touched a dolphin, at Sea World, in Florida, they feel kind of rubbery, like a wet rubber ball (about 7 years ago) (Saw killer whales, dolphins, and baluga whales). From the shore; it was killer whales; they went into an inlet near where I used to live with my parents, maybe 200 metres (yards) off the coast (about 4 years ago). On a boat, I've been three times, two of which were successful, one on the east coast and one on the west (of the US of A). The one on the east, we saw minke, sei, dolphins, and another type that I don't remeber, it was when I was pretty young, but it was awesome, I loved it, my first ride on a boat that I remember. The west coast, was grey whales that we saw, a mum and her calf fairly close to shore, maybe six years ago? Something like that. But they're awesome creatures, and no, not scary. If I could think of a few words to describe whales and dolphins, would be powerful, graceful, and smart.

Yes I took a whale watching trip on a boat off of Cape Cod. We saw many humpback whales. They came up right next to the boat, but it was a big boat so I couldn't touch which is fine cause they are so huge and moving fast. It was a little scary cause most were bigger than the boat. No real noise but the sound of water and ocean spray. Unforgettable.

No - but i have seen other sea animals real close.

Sea lions make a lot of noise and they act very circus-like, jumping through hoops high up in the air and they were very well trained.

Penguins are much quieter and quiter. Some had really bushy eyebrows and they just sweep about in the icy water.

I would love to see whales as well, hopefully very soon!
