Well, I can't answer simply Yes or No but if Wayne Rooney can be fully fit and in great form, it would be a high possibility. It would also depend on the form of teams such as Brazil, Argentina and Portugal. These are teams who have stopped England progressing before and if they aren't in good form, England can go on and win!

The sign of a team that will win stuff is one which can get results without playing their best. England have been doing that recently. They need to improbe a little, but the last 30 minutes ladt night was reassuring; they could have scored six, were it not for T&T's excellent defence

I see all the doom mongers are out again.
We have played badley in our first two games yet have won both of them and not conceded a goal. Maximum points and group leaders.
Brazil have also started slowly and so have Germany. It is only Spain who have started out looking sharp.
This is football, it can all change and England have every chance of going all the way.
I hope we do as I just want to see the Scots suffer another 40 years of jealously and inferiority complex.

I watch, worry and wonder... but still have faith in England wrestling the cup from any of the favoured team to win. On its day England is best of the best. Truly.

No, and if they did we'd have to hear about it for the next 40+ years. You'd expect an affluent country with such a high population to have won it at least once since the last time, wouldn't you?

Why all the negatives?! We haven't really turned up for either game yet and no players shining in particular and still max points, think what we're capable of when we do turn up and the big players produce. Have a little faith?
