You should meet with the members of the Lodge, as many as you can, and find out how they treat you. Will you fit in? Are there members there of your age group (or will you be the youngest there by 30 years or more?) How often do they meet? Who would be able to help you learn the things you need to learn to go from Entered Apprentice to Fellowcraft? From Fellowcraft to Master?
Do they admit only men? Is this a Christians only Lodge? Is this really just a social/fraternal organization or are there esoteric aspects that go toward self-improvement?
Understand that some forms of Freemasonry are more esoteric than others. Some admit women. I speak here of Co-Masonry, which some will post to this board saying is not mainstream Freemasonry. Perhaps we are guilty as charged in that.
Whichever Order you choose, make sure you feel that the people you are joining are a good fit for you and you for them. No Masonic Lodge recruits. You must knock on that door yourself.

properly, it unquestionably relies upon on who you ask. There are people who think of it is religious or historic. i'm disinclined to have self assurance the two one. i've got self assurance that all of it comes all the way down to one trouble-free component: morality. a guy who believes in a preferrred being is had to maintain on with ethical regulation, because of the fact of this any criminal accountability that he makes is definite by that regulation. An atheist isn't required to ethical regulation, because of the fact of this no criminal accountability he makes is definite by something. NOTES: - Freemasonry neither likes nor dislikes atheists. they only can not be contributors. - the component of Freemasonry isn't "religious progression by occult ritual." - there is not any 'occult ritual' in Freemasonry. - Freemasonry wasn't began interior the sixteenth century. - There are no 'greater beneficial secrets and techniques' revealed at any 'point of initiation' - notwithstanding which ability. - a guy is barely initiated as quickly as. And it is to no longer any 'point.' - the stages in Freemasonry do no longer project the existence of a deity. it is a FRATERNITY no longer a faith. - Esotericism is the conserving of wisdom, opinion and ideology. concept can not be the "gasoline" that powers esoteric wisdom. it is a nonsensical answer. - the understanding that Freemasons carry isn't that "their is a deity." - There are no 'oaths' in Freemasonry, so it is stupid to assert that there are 'oaths' that 'are completed on the bible.'

Ask him whatever you want to know. If you ask something he cant answeer he will tell you. If you want, you can email me. I will answer every question that I am able to. There are a few specific things that I cannot tell you, but for the most part, I can tell you what you need to know.

Don't even try. Ask them to tell you all the organisation's secretes first. then you will realise it is a trap you should run away from.
