There are ships and planes crossing it every day.

It is a story that had a tiny bit of merit due to a few incidents and it then got blown out of proportion

I have read a book on the Bermuda Triangle. The book features the first disappearances sometime in the 1940's if I remember correctly. Five fighter planes on-training. Recorded message of the pilot said disturbing words--white light, what in God's name is that?, etc. After that, the planes just disappeared from the radar. Two rescue planes were sent to find out what happened. And those two planes mysteriously disappeared as well. Planes and boats even ships have disappeared within the perimeter too. I just couldn't recall the other stories. I think the rumors are true. Better for you to check the book yourself.

The Bermuda Triangle (also known as Devil's Triangle) is a nearly half-million square-mile (1.2 million km2) area of ocean roughly defined by Bermuda, Puerto Rico, and Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The Bermuda Triangle has become popular through representation by the mass media, in which it is a paranormal site in which the known laws of physics are violated and altered.

While there is a common belief that a number of ships and airplanes have disappeared under highly unusual circumstances in this region, the United States Coast Guard and others disagree with that assessment, citing statistics demonstrating that the number of incidents involving lost ships and aircraft is no larger than that of any other heavily traveled region of the world. Many of the alleged mysteries have proven not so mysterious or unusual upon close examination, with inaccuracies and misinformation about the cases often circulating and recirculating over the decades.

Yes, it's one of my interests. The opposite of the Bermuda Triangle is The Dragon's Triangle in the Pacific Ocean near Japan, Taiwan and Guam. Lot of aircrafts and ships disappears too!

The rumour I heard was that the burmuda triangle was dating the equator for a spell, but then ran off with the arora borialis. They're expecting their first phenomenon in February of next year.

I don't know if they are true or not but this topic definatley makes you wonder...if it's not true, then what has happened to all of the ships and airplanes??? Why did they all go "missing" in the triangle? I know that the media likes to "spice things up", but what else could there be?
