Some babies never teethe (as in having discomfort or pain) before the first tooth shows up. And it is normal for babies not to have any teeth before around the first birthday. So it's nothing you need to worry about yet, unless there are other problems...

Dont worry! Every child is different. Some do not get teeth until they are 11 or 12 months. Some are actually born with one or two. Although this is uncommon, it does happen. Your son may get them all relatively quickly once they start coming in. If you are really concerned, ask your pediatrician. Good luck!

My oldest child was 15 months before he got teeth! So don't worry yourself so much. My doctor told me to be patient, and if he didn't have any by 16 months we would find out what is going on. Just make sure that the food you give him is safe since he doesn't have teeth.

Hi!
Yes...your son is fine!
Our son only began getting his first tooth at 9 months and never had any gum pain, excessive chewing etc...before that!
Check with your Dentist and I'm sure he/she will tell you that the later teeth come in, the better they are!

My son is almost 9 months and he didn't get his first tooth until he was 8 months and 2 days. Now, his third tooth just broke through yesterday. They just keep coming and coming so don't worry!
