Because, they don't like having people watching them when they do it, they don't like to do it at all usually. Please see Mr. Owlings linky thingy, you might go (like I did) awwwww, look at the ickle cute panda wandas! :P

Their fur is too relaxed and straight.

You'd need a permanent wave to create the effect of a shag rug, or at the very least a crimping iron, and I'd bet money you couldn't get a panda to sit still for either!

because pandas are evloutionary retards that dont fit well into their own environment, as well as their reluctance to shag they only eat one kind of food, live in solitude for a good deal of thier lives and when they do meet behave like total windowlickers.

let them go extinct i say and concentrate on saving more exciting wildlife like tigers and such

They are rubbish animals and deserve to be made into coats, they don't even eat properly, let alone shag.

They do but the females are in heat only 3 days per year, and they may need more privacy than the zoo.

They do - don't be silly! If they didn't there would be no more pandas.

It's just that they are private creatures and they are picky about who they shag with.

We could learn from them!!

In the wild they do reproduce. In captivity they very rarely do.
