do people actually come home from "making a living" with more life everyday? or, for many people, is it "making a dying" because it can kill health, relationships, and a sense of wonder and joy? what do you think?

I usually say I am making a living, and I do feel alive when I leave work after 8 hours, but not so much lately. The past 2 months have been making a dying, infact, now that its friday, I think I will be living again, if only for 2 days

It can be both, I have been in a job in the past that I was making a dying. It took the life out of me emotionally and physically. It wasn't worth it . sometimes money isn't everything. I left that job and now I am in a job that good, not great but much better, its not as much money but I do have my sanity now, or so I think!

It all depends on if you are doing something you like or not. I'm young so I've had to take up factory jobs and let me tell you after a while it makes me straight miserable but i keep marching on until I either quit or get fired. So yes... you are making a dying until you actually find something you enjoy doing (is that rare?)

i consider some careers to be making a dying, many actually. in my most recent experience it definitely made a dying, in several ways. its still killing, but im moving on to make a living.

People usually enjoy what they are good at. Find things you enjoy doing and discover a way of making a living at them. Not only will you be happy, you will also make a great living. You spend a large portion of your life working, make it something you have fun with.

i would consider mine making a living because its something i like to do, it may become tidius at times, but i will get paid real good and im one greedy son of a *****... but i see what your saying some people go for the wrong career and dont try for something else. Then again, if we could all be what we want to be it would be a world full of astronauts, male porn stars, fire fighters, celebs, and zebras...
